About Us Our Mission Statement We are a step-on tour guide service whose purpose is to provide a memorable experience mixing trivia, humor and history to visitors of Philadelphia and its countryside. History American Heritage Student Tours began giving tours of the greater Philadelphia area in 1981. The company has primarily generated its customer base through word-of-mouth and repeat business. The return customers use American Heritage again and again due to our value. Generally we provide tours to student groups with an interest in US history. Our Staff Our staff is willing to help you make arrangements for your group and accommodate to your special needs to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Tour guides are available from a wide variety of backgrounds, many of which are former teachers and multilingual. Their wealth of knowledge and their dynamic presentations will captivate your entire group. All guides are dressed in historic colonial costume. Special guest guides include George Washington and Ben Franklin impersonators. Each is available upon request for an additional appearance fee.
